While this picture only shows three cackling ostriches, they usually live in nomadic groups of five to 50. Ostriches can grow up to 320 lbs and are usually about nine feet tall. We may not think of an ostrich as a commercially grown bird, but they are farmed around the world; their feathers for dusters, skin for leathers, and even their meat is thought to be very delicious.
