Image Description: It may be late enough in spring for these berries to have started showing themselves, but that obviously hasn’t stopped old man winter from making one last appearance, and in style! A recent ice storm has left the branches of this bush coated in a layer of frozen water, with the ice following the contours of the wood so closely that it almost looks unnaturally perfect. Unfortunately, this type of spring ice storm can wreak havoc with plants that should otherwise be producing fruit, and we can only hope that these berries - not to mention the untold numbers of crops affected by the same storm - can outlive their icy coating.
