Image Description: A beautiful image of the Notre Dame Cathedral’s stained-glass-windows. These windows are part of an extensive restoration project that was supervised by Eugene Viollet le Duc after a radical phase of the French Revolution in the 1790s, during which the cathedral suffered major damage to most of its religious imagery. It was during this restoration that the remaining decorations were removed and the cathedral was returned to it's original gothic state; now it is referred to as one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture and it is the largest and most well known churches in the world. The Notre Dame is the cathedral of the Catholic Archdiocese of Paris.
