Image Description: Long worn down by wind, rain, the tides, or possibly even all of the above, these hundreds of tiny pebbles serve to tell the story of millions of years of Earth’s history. Besides offering that academic boon, they’re also fantastic to lay eyes on, with the limited range of colors that they possess offsetting each from its neighbor. Curiously, it looks as if a small indentation has been made in the upper part of the picture, revealing the one stone that holds a significant size advantage over the others. This could easily have been created by human hands, though it’s equally possible that this is a beach scene, and that the indentation reveals a crab’s former burrow.
