Fir-tree - Free to use image

image name

Image Description: The size of the pine tree in this picture may be small now, but one day it could be two thousand feet tall! Full-grown pine trees can grow anywhere from three to 80 meters tall, with the average being 15 to 45 meters tall. The tallest pine tree is in Rogue River Siskiyou National Forest in Oregon, a Ponderosa Pine that stands almost eighty two meters tall. The oldest living pine tree is 4,600 years old and resides in the White Mountains in California; normally pines live between only 100 to 1,000 years. The wood of the pine tree is used for many projects, including furniture, floors, roofs, window frames and, in some species, the resin is a source of turpentine.
