Image Description: A great photograph of two versions of the Kiev film cameras that were popular with photographers long before digital cameras appeared. After WWII, when the Russians were seizing all materials in post-war reparations, they took over the Zeiss factories, taking all of the dyes, tools, leftover parts, and even a few of the engineers, and transplanting them to Kiev, Ukraine. The result was a great contax camera being produced, with over one million of them being sold worldwide up until the mid-1980s. As the years passed, the Soviets added 'improvements', mostly to simplify production, but typically you can interchange Kiev parts into either Contax I or Contax II cameras.
