Image Description: Standing at the very end of a manmade dock, this pelican looks to be spreading its wings in anticipation of taking flight - or perhaps it’s simply shaking in order to dry its obviously wet body. With both wings out, and its head angled downward, we’re able to get a fantastic view of this graceful bird as drops of water fly out around it. The background is no less attractive, with the lake or river in view giving way to a alternately sandy and rocky shoreline, and low-hanging trees reaching down to rest just over the surface of the water, with each element of the picture combining to make for a truly beautiful scene.
