Image Description: Sushi may be considered very much an acquired taste for many of us, but that hasnâ€™t stopped the Japanese favorite from becoming a hit with Western eaters! These curious looking rolls feature a chunk of meat at their center, probably salmon, circled in seaweed, all wrapped in a thick and generous layer of rice. Easily the most colorful aspect of the sushi roll is its sharp yellow hue, thanks to whatever spice it has been rolled in. Each length of roll sits on the same cutting board that it was likely prepared on, with fresh chopping serving to turn them into manageably sized pieces, ready for serving.
