Image Description: This incredible star-shaped flower looks absolutely incredible, but we can see from the position of its thin petals that it has simply rolled outwards from its original bud in order to achieve its shape. While the outer arms are reaching as far and wide as possible, we can still clearly see the still-folded excess petal material in the center of the flower - material that will presumably still be used to extend its reach even further, helping to better attract pollinators like bees. Behind our unlikely flower is a thick wall of deep green leaves, though it is very difficult to tell whether those leaves belong to the flower, or to another plant altogether.
