Image description >> Winter may be cold and unforgiving much of the time, but its sheer uniqueness among the four seasons can make for stunning photo opportunities, and this picture most definitely serves as the result of one of them. This tree, leaning in over a fence that likely belongs to the backyard of a residential property, is positively covered in ice, with every nub of every branch sporting a thick layer of the stuff. This result likely comes from an ice storm, one of those dumpings of rain too cold to be liquid, but too warm to form snow. Once the resulting slushy precipitation begins to cling to branches - and anything else it lands on - hardening begins with a drop in temperature, leaving us with a landscape of sheer beauty to admire, at least for a short while.
